In January of 2025 the Heritage Players Board of Directors met to discuss some proposed changes to the Harvey Lindstrom Memorial Scholarship. While we believe that the educational scholarship is a valuable tool for our youth, we believe that there is a greater need in the community for encouraging youth to have a direct impact on service in the community and mentoring of other youth. Beginning this year, we will be changing the program to create a service opportunity in conjunction with the our Pine Theater Camp.
Application forms are now available for students interested in being youth apprentices for the Pine Theater Camp to be held in June of 2025. We will select up to 3 student leaders that have been an active member of their high school or college theater program to join us this year. After successful completion of the Pine Theater Camp, each apprentice will receive a $250 scholarship for use in their college career.
Eligibility Requirements: Application will open on March 1st each year and are due back by April 1st each year.
- An active member of your high school theater program (actor/actress, crew or orchestra).
- Currently a sophomore, junior or senior at a local high school.
- Availability for a training session at a date TBD during the month of May.
- Availability for the 10 session dates for the Pine Theater Camp Season. Please view the application for specific dates & times for the camp.
- As a camp apprentice you will be responsible for assisting the program director with lessons to help program participants create a fun learning environment and get excited about the ways that they can contribute to the theater experience.
- Camp apprentices will also be learning an area of tech (lighting, sound, backstage) in order to help the student participants have a successful performance.
