HERITAGE PLAYERS ANNOUNCE 20TH ANNIVERSARY SEASON
Pine City Heritage Players Celebrate 20 Years of Revival with 2025-2026 Season
The Pine City Heritage Players are set to bring laughter, music, and nostalgia to the stage with their 2025-2026 season. This upcoming lineup marks a significant milestone: 20 years since the organization’s revival, celebrating two decades of community theater with three exciting productions.
The festivities begin on February 21 with the fan-favorite musical revue, Songs of the Stage, hosted at the Pine City Pizza Pub. Titled “Let’s Duet,” this year’s revue showcases duets and ensemble performances of Broadway’s greatest hits. Auditions are open to all—whether you have a partner or are looking to be matched—and are scheduled for December 21.
On March 21, the Players present a special one-night-only event: Encore: A 20 Year Celebration. This retrospective will take audiences on a trip down memory lane, featuring performances from past shows, a showcase of iconic costumes and set pieces, and a display of archival photos and recordings that highlight the organization’s history.
The 20th anniversary season culminates in July with the Dolly Parton classic, 9 to 5, as the annual summer musical. Based on the hit 1980 film, 9 to 5 follows three female coworkers who devise a plan to get even with their sexist, hypocritical, and egotistical boss. With the boss conveniently “out of the office,” the trio transforms their workplace into their dream environment. This high-energy comedy, featuring music and lyrics by Dolly Parton and a book by Patricia Resnick, comes to Pine City through special arrangement with Music Theatre International (MTI).
Updates regarding auditions, tickets, and volunteer opportunities will be released prior to each show. Stay connected by visiting www.pinecityheritageplayers.com or following the Pine City Heritage Players on Facebook and Instagram.
