When we say it takes a village…. we really mean it! Launching a musical takes time and determination with a lot of people putting in the hours needed to make it successful. That’s why we are always grateful for extra hands during our “Community Build Days”. For each show that the Heritage Players produce, we have just one week to complete all of the on stage building projects for the show — lay down a floor to protect the stage and allow us to paint the floor to create the right setting, then build platforms, walls, stairs, bridges or other specialty items as needed for the show. When construction is complete (or close to it) we begin painting techniques to create brick, stone, water or other texture. The best part…. you don’t need special skills to help with our building days… just an interest in having fun, meeting new people, and being willing to work!
If you’ve got the time this week and have an interest in joining us, here are the days we plan to be working on site. If you are joining before Noon… there is no need to RSVP. If you plan to come on one of these dates after 2PM – be sure to email us at heritageplayers@gmail.com so we can confirm that projects are available to work on!
- Thursday, July 8th from 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM
- Friday, July 9th from 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM
